This policy explains what RateIntelUSA collects when you use this site, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to http://localhost:3000 and does not cover any third-party site you reach by following a link from here.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. Used to send what you asked for and to reply.
- Message contents, if you write to us — kept so we can answer and so we can track corrections.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, and time on page.
- IP address, in server logs, for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies and similar storage, described below.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, account numbers, or banking credentials. No product on this site requires them. If a page appears to ask you for one, it is not ours — leave it and tell us.
Cookies
We use cookies and equivalent browser storage for three purposes: keeping the site working (remembering preferences such as your state selection), measuring traffic in aggregate, and attributing referrals when you follow an affiliate link so the institution knows the visit came from us. Analytics and advertising cookies may be set by third parties.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you reading anything on this site; it may reset preferences between visits.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal information. We share data with service providers who operate parts of the site on our behalf — analytics, email delivery, hosting — under contracts limiting them to that purpose. We share aggregate, non-identifying traffic data with affiliate partners for attribution and payment. We will disclose information where legally required.
Third-party sites
Following a link to a bank, credit union, card issuer or lender takes you onto their site, governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Anything you enter into their application form is between you and them. Read their policy before providing personal information.
Retention
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept while it is useful for support and corrections. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and then deleted. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell it), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; other state laws grant similar ones.

Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. We do not sell or rent our mailing list.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to stored data is restricted. No system is immune to compromise, and we will not claim otherwise. Because we hold very little about you, there is very little to lose.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change, and the review date at the foot of the page will reflect it. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
